ABI measurement system for PAD screening in practice and hospital

The boso ABI-system 100 measures blood pressure on both upper arms and both ankles simultaneously using the oscillometric method and calculates the ankle-brachial index for both sides. The measurement takes around one minute and can be delegated to trained practice staff. Analysis and documentation are done on the PC with boso profil-manager XD.

Features & equipment

Four limbs simultaneously

Arms and ankles are measured simultaneously in a single run instead of one after the other as with the classic Doppler method.

Around one minute measurement time

The measurement itself takes about one minute; no special preparation beyond the usual rest period is required.

ABI, pulse and side difference

Output includes left and right ABI, blood pressure values of all limbs, side differences, pulse, pulse pressure and oscillation curve.

Optional PWV measurement

Depending on configuration, the system additionally determines the pulse wave velocity (baPWV) and calculates the cfPWV from it.

Analysis with profil-manager XD

The included PC software assigns measurements to the patient, highlights abnormal values in colour and creates printouts for documentation.

GDT interface to practice software

Results can be transferred to the practice management system via USB and the software's GDT interface.
